Ulysses is in the heart of southwest Kansas and where veteran bullfighter Wacey Muncell calls home. Wacey carries forward a proud family tradition—his grandfather, Doug Sr., started the Munsell legacy of rodeo bullfighting. In 2004, at just 17, Wacey became the youngest competitor on the TwoBulls Protection Tour and the World Championship Rodeo Bullfighting Tour, going on to win the World Champion title and a gold buckle just eight days after his 18th birthday. He repeated the title again in 2006.
Throughout his career, Munsell has earned recognition across the nation, including victories at the California Rodeo Salinas, National Finals Rodeo Bucking Stock Sale, and numerous PRCA events. He’s been voted six times as one of the Top Five Bullfighters for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo and was twice a finalist for PRCA Bullfighter of the Year (2019 and 2020).
With over 20 years of professional bullfighting experience, Wacey has worked at major rodeos across the country—from Denver to Tucson, Austin to Dodge City—and even fulfilled a lifelong dream when he worked nine performances at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas in 2018.
